Biography
Born in the family of graphic artist Sokovnin Boris Alekseevich and Sokovnina Irina Fedorovna, an engineer and economist at Soyuzmultfilm studio . Father’s brother, Sokovnin, Yuri Alekseevich, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation , actor of the Moscow Theater of Satire (performer of the role of Pan Yurek in the television “ Zucchini“ 13 Chairs “ ”).
After school, he worked as an assistant director on Central Television in the TV shows “ Cinema Travel Club ” (with V. A. Shneiderov ) and “ Cinema Panorama ” (with director K. B. Marinina ).
He graduated from the Faculty of Applied Arts of the Moscow Textile Institute . He defended his diploma as a costume designer for the film “Sorcerers” ( Odessa Film Studio , 1982, director Konstantin Bromberg ) [1] . The last work in the cinema was the production, together with N. A. Zhuravleva, of a number of designer costumes for the film “Kin-dza-dza!” ( Mosfilm , 1985, directed by Georgy Danelia ).
Continuing to work as a film artist, he was engaged in painting and participated in exhibitions of the Union of Artists of the USSR . Several years at the Academic dacha to them. Repin was trained by prominent artists A.M. Gritsay , S.P. and A.P. Tkachev , and A.P. Levitin . The most famous paintings of that time: the triptych “Memory” (1984, is in the Museum of the Great Patriotic War on Poklonnaya Hill) and “Theater of the Revolution” (1985, in the collection of the Union of Artists of Russia ).
The stage in the artist’s creative biography can be considered work on the restoration of the picturesque decoration of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior in Moscow in 1998–2000 [2] [3] .
In the 2000s, many exhibitions were held in museums and exhibition halls in China [4] [5] .
In total, he participated in more than 150 professional art exhibitions [6] .

- 2001 - Order of the Russian Orthodox Church of St. Sergius of Radonezh, 3 degrees. He was awarded the Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Alexy II for his work on the reconstruction of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior [2]
