Biography
Anna Tatangelo was born on January 9, 1987 in Sora , in the province of Frosinone , central Italy. Anna has two older brothers, Maurizio and Giuseppe and an older sister Sylvia. Currently lives in Rome . He has an affair with the singer Gigi D'Alessio , from whom Andrea gave birth to a son in 2010.
In 2002, at the age of 15, Tatangelo became the youngest winner of the Newcomer's Award at the Sanremo Music Festival . After winning in 2003, she recorded the song "Un nuovo bacio" ("New Kiss"), in a duet with her new lover Gigi D'Alessio , and in 2004 the song "Il mondo é mio" ("My World"). Both songs were included on her first album, Attimo x attimo, which was released in September 2003 .
Ragazza di periferia
Her success and popularity were reinforced in 2005 when her second album Ragazza di periferia was released ( Rus. Girl from the outskirts ). The album included songs written in collaboration with Gigi D'Alessio , and had such hits as “Quando due si lasciano” ( Rus. When two leave ), “Qualcosa di te” ( Rus. Something about you ). In 2006 , Tatangelo participates in the Sanremo Festival , and wins the female category with the new song “Essere una donna” ( Rus. Be a woman ) [1] .
Mai dire mai
In 2007 , Anna Tatangelo continues her ascent to the star Olympus with the release of her third album “Mai dire mai” ( Rus. Never say never ). This is the first album in which Tatangelo is also the author of the lyrics to the songs “Averti qui” ( Russian. To Have You ) and “Lo so che finira” ( Russian. I know that this will all end ). In 2008, she performs at the Sanremo Festival and gets second place with a new song “Il mio amico” ( Rus. My friend ), which she dedicated to her best friend Claudio. The song breaks the standards of love, telling about the discrimination of homosexuality [2] The same song, Tatangelo sings in a duet with American singer Michael Bolton .
Nel mondo delle donne and Italian version X factor
In March 2008 , Tatangelo conducts a series of concerts. Her fourth album, “Nel mondo delle donne” ( Rus. In the world of women ), was released on November 28th and included 9 new songs and 2 old ones. In each song of the album there was a theme devoted to women, some of them touch upon the theme of betrayal “Va da lei” ( Russian. Go to her ) and spousal violence “Rose Spezzate” ( Russian. Broken roses ). In Italy, the album went gold, and then platinum, and sold 50,000 copies.
In August 2010 , Tatanzhelo becomes one of the four judges in the local TV project X Factor (Italy) , the Italian version of the TV show Factor A and the Main Stage .
Progetto B and the Italian version of Dancing with the Stars
In February 2011 , Tatangelo again participated in the Sanremo festival with the song “Bastardo” ( Russian Bastard ) [3] , which took ninth place. In the same month, she releases her fifth album, Progetto B. In 2012 , she takes part in the Italian version of the Dancing with the Stars show, in which she ranks fourth [4] .
Today, Anna Tatandzhelo is one of the most sought-after pop singers in Italy and is now filming Christmas in the South , which will be released in 2017. [five]
