He started playing football at Dynamo in Leningrad . When the team was disbanded, it was transferred to “Labor Reserves” in 1954, for 3 years I spent only one match and wanted to finish with football. But he went to Petrozavodsk and, as part of the Karelian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, spoke at the 1st Spartakiad of the Peoples of the USSR . In 1957, together with Friedrich Marutin, he moved to the newly created class “B” team “Avangard” . In the same year he moved to Zenit : the team had to play a friendly match with the Brazilian club Bahia , and because of the large number of injured Khrapovitsky was called to Zenit. In that match, he scored two goals and later agreed to the move. For the "Zenith" played until 1964. Spent in the championship for the team 138 matches, scored 36 goals.
In 1965–1967, he played in class “B” for “Miner” Karaganda , where, he claimed, earned more than in Zenit during the whole period of performances.
After the end of his playing career, he worked as a coach at Zenit and the LOMO club team. He was a lay judge of the Kalininsky district court from LOMO. He was awarded the medal "Labor Veteran" , diploma of the Russian Football Union (1997).
