Policy
In the 2017 presidential election, residents of the canton gave Marine Le Pen in the 1st round 27.4% of the vote against 24.4% for Emmanuel Macron , 19.1% for François Fillon and 15.5% for Jean-Luc Melenchon ; in the 2nd round, the canton was defeated by Macron, who received 58.3% of the vote. (2012 Round 1: Nicolas Sarkozy - 29.1%, Francois Hollande - 26.4%, Marine Le Pen - 21.9%; Round 2: Sarkozy - 51.6%).
Since 2015, the canton of the Pas-de-Calais Council has been represented by the mayor of the city of Berck Bruno Cousein and the mayor of the municipality of Reuss-sur-Cours Maryse Jumez (both Republicans ).
