Biography
Alexander Kirillovich Laukhin was born on September 1, 1917 in the city of Temryuk, now in the Krasnodar Territory, in a working class family. Russian. Member of the CPSU since 1943.
He graduated from 8 classes. Since 1933, he lived in the village of Yablonovsky in the Takhtamukaysky district, now the Republic of Adygea . He worked as a metal turner at the Adygea Canning Plant. In 1937 he graduated from the Krasnodar Aero Club. In the Soviet Army since 1938. In 1940 he graduated from the Kachin Military Aviation Pilot School. He served there as a flight instructor and flight commander.
In the battles of World War II from September 1942 in the 1st Guards Fighter Aviation Regiment.
Feat
Squadron commander of the 1st Guards Fighter Aviation Regiment ( 7th Guards Fighter Aviation Division , 2nd Fighter Aviation Corps , 15th Air Army , Bryansk Front ) of the Guard Senior Lieutenant Laukhin completed 214 sorties by July 1943, in 50 air flights battles personally shot down 9 and in group 3 enemy aircraft. The title of Hero of the Soviet Union was awarded on September 2, 1943.
He fought at the front until the end of the war. By May 9, 1945, it had completed over 350 sorties, in which it shot down 24 German planes personally and 3 in the group [1] (according to the last award list, it had a slightly different number of victories - 23 personally and 9 in the group [2] - but this data is operational and reporting documents of the regiment are not confirmed.
In 1949 he graduated from the Air Force Academy [3] .
On May 25, 1951, Lt. Col. Laukhin died in a plane crash. Buried in Moscow.
