Vyacheslav Viktorovich Novitsky (born August 23, 1946 ) is a well-known Russian pathophysiologist, a specialist in the pathophysiology of the blood system, oncopharmacology, and cell biology. Rector of the Siberian State Medical University (1997-2014), head. Department of Pathophysiology, Siberian State Medical University, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences , Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation. Biography
Born in Tomsk on August 23, 1946. He graduated from Tomsk secondary school No. 6. In 1969 he graduated from the medical faculty of the Tomsk Medical Institute and remained at the university, where he went through all the stages of formation as a researcher and teacher. First he worked as a junior, then a senior researcher at the Central Scientific Research Laboratory, assistant, senior lecturer, associate professor, professor and head of the department of pathophysiology (since 2000).
Student of outstanding pathophysiologists - Honored Scientist of the RSFSR, prof. D.I. Goldberg and Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, academician of RAMS E.D. Goldberg.
First Vice-Rector for Research (1988-1997) and Rector (1997-2014) of the Siberian State Medical University, elected on an alternative basis. Deputy Chairman of the Council of Rectors of Medical and Pharmaceutical Universities of Russia under the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation (2009-2013), member of the Expert Council of the Higher Attestation Commission under the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation (2011-2013), member of the Scientific Coordinating Council of the Federal Target Program “Research and Development on Priority directions of development of the scientific and technical complex of Russia for 2007—2013. attached to the MORF ”(2011–2013), member of the expert council of the Russian Science Foundation (since 2013), member of the Presidium of the SB RAMS (1998–2013). Member of the Legislative Duma of the Tomsk Region of the second (1997-2001), third (2001-2006) and fourth (2006-2011) convocations.
Author of over 700 scientific publications, including over 540 in leading peer-reviewed journals, 38 monographs, 18 study guides and manuals, 17 patents of the Russian Federation for inventions. Editor and member of the authors team of the textbook on pathophysiology for students of medical universities, which has passed 4 editions. Scientific supervisor and executor of 30 grants of the Federal Target Program and the Russian Federal Property Fund.
He created his own original scientific school - prepared 43 doctors and 105 candidates of sciences, of which 25 defended their doctoral dissertations under the age of 35 years, including 7 - under the age of 30 years. Since 2003, the school has the state status of “Leading Scientific School of Russia”, 6 times supported by the Council on Grants under the President of the Russian Federation (2003,2005, 2008, 20012, 2014, 2016). Eight school representatives are supported by grants from the Presidential Council as “Outstanding Young Scientists”.
In 2015—2016 entered the TOP - 100 most cited scientists of Russia in the direction "Medicine and Health Care" (RSCI data).
Laureate of the RAMS them. I. V. Davydovsky on general pathology (awarded once every 10 years) for the series of works “Molecular fundamentals of the pathology of blood cells in socially significant diseases” (2010).
