Matevos Oganesovich Muradyan ( May 5, 1911 , the village of Tagaspar, Shatakhi District of the Van Vilayet, now Turkey - February 27, 1987) was a Soviet musicologist , Honored Art Worker of the Armenian SSR ( 1967 ), Doctor of Art History ( 1972 ), Head of the Music Sector of the Institute of Arts of the Academy of Sciences of the Armenian SSR, Member of the editorial board of the All-Union Publishing House "History of Music of the Peoples of the USSR."
