Biscuit

Bis-Quit is a Russian musical group from St. Petersburg . The ensemble was formed in 2002 by students of the St. Petersburg College of Music named after N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov. Bis Quit released 3 discs, the ensemble's repertoire includes more than 250 compositions of classical and modern music [1] .

History

In 2005, in one of the best halls in St. Petersburg, the BIS-KVIT ensemble premiered a suite of music from the great musical West Side Story.

In 2006, BIS-KVIT "participated in the filming of the film" The Prodigal Children ".

In 2006, the ensemble “BIS-QUIT” was an honored guest of the international music festival “THE WORLD OF MUSICAL FOLKLORE” in the city of Nordfjord, Norway. A creative union with the mixed choir of the city of Nordfjord, and several gala concerts took place here.

From 2007 to 2011, he was a regular guest of the TV programs “A Fair Song” and “In the Rhythms of Life” with Elena Lipina [2] [3] .

In 2009, the ensemble "BIS-QUIT" participant of the VII International Festival "Universe of Sound", which was held in the BZ them. Tchaikovsky, Moscow State Conservatory. At the festival, the collective performed a musical performance based on K. Molchanov’s opera “Dawns Here Are Quiet ...” and was awarded diplomas for “Modern Reading and Masterly Performance of the Classical Score”, “Original Composition of the Musical Group”, “Original Arrangement of the Classical Work”. Performances with this work were also held in the Great Hall of the St. Petersburg Academic Philharmonic named after D. D. Shostakovich and the State Academic Chapel [4] [5] [6] [7] .

In July 2010, the group performed in the Big Concert Hall of St. Petersburg - “Oktyabrsky” as part of the Mariinsky Theater Symphony Orchestra with a program dedicated to the Day of the Russian Navy [8] .

On May 29, 2010, the Bis-Quit ensemble together with the Grad-Quartet performed at the celebration of City Day in St. Petersburg. [10] .

In 2011, the Bis-Quit ensemble gave a gala concert with the participation of artists of the Mariinsky Theater in the Russian Cultural and Information Center located in the city of Sofia. Musicians and opera performers from Russia presented a concert program as part of the Days of Russian Spiritual Culture held in Bulgaria. [11] After performing in Bulgaria, the artists went to Montenegro where their performance was also a success. [12]

In 2011 - a special guest at a music show of central television in Southeast Europe [12] .

But this year, Bis Quit performed not only in the Balkans. The band gave a concert on the Åland Islands in the city of Mariehamn on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of this city [13] .

In September 2012, Andrei Antipov with the ensemble “Bis-Quit” participated in a theatrical concert in Vologda, held as part of the Days of St. Petersburg in Vologda [14] .

In October 2012, Bis-Quit gives a concert in Bishkek as part of the Days of Russian Culture in Kyrgyzstan. The ensemble comes with a delegation of St. Petersburg, led by the governor of Peter G. S. Poltavchenko [15] .

During its existence, the BIS-KVIT group has held more than 1,500 concerts in Russia, has represented St. Petersburg in the concert halls of Italy, Poland, Switzerland, Korea, Germany, Cuba, Austria, China, Southeast Europe, Scotland, Portugal, Finland and France.

The ensemble “BIS-KVIT” represents St. Petersburg in international diplomatic missions led by the Committee on External Relations, the Committee on Culture of the City of St. Petersburg and the Government of the Russian Federation. During this time, a large number of solo concert programs were prepared with the participation of soloists of the Mariinsky Theater. In 2011, the team was awarded the Prize of the Government of St. Petersburg " Ambassador of Russian Culture " [17] .
