Coins of this type produced more than 100 million copies, and they are the most common. They are also often faked.
It was originally replaced by a 10 francs coin of 1986 , developed by Joaquin Jimenez, which was quickly withdrawn from circulation because it resembled a 1/2 franc coin (in diameter and color). In 1988, it was replaced by a bimetallic coin of 10 francs . "
