Content
History
The company was founded in 1994 by a group of students at MIPT . In 1995, a separate Mobility Division was created to work on software for mobile devices. In 1998, the company opened an office in Germany, in 2000 - in Switzerland.
In 2004, the company began working with Fujitsu-Siemens on the Russian localization of laptop computers [2] . By order of Nokia , Epocware is developing the Handy Zip application, which will then be embedded at the platform level in Nokia smartphones [3] . In 2005, the company expanded its line of office and gaming applications for Symbian OS and received the Developer of the Year Award in the 2005 Handango Champion Awards. In 2011, PCMag recognized Paragon Hard Disk Manager's flagship product as the best hard drive management program [3] . Paragon Software Group also won the 2011 Global Telecoms Business Innovation Award for Mobile Solutions [4] . In the same year, the company entered the top ten Russian exporters of “boxed solutions” [5] .

In 2017, the company joined the Renesas R-Car consortium to support automotive chip makers by supplying next-generation data warehouses for cars of the future.
By integrating Paragon File System Link technology into the car infotainment system, OEMs give future car owners the ability to connect USB devices, SD cards, digital assistants and other external media directly to the IVI system. This provides access to audio and video, regardless of file format. The technology is also used in routers and network gateways, smart TVs and receivers, smartphones, cameras, NAS devices.
Smartphone Software
- Slovoed dictionaries and phrasebooks for over 37 languages of the world. More than 350 electronic dictionaries, encyclopedias and phrasebooks have been developed jointly with Duden, Langenscheidt, Oxford UP, PONS / Klett, Le Robert, VOX and other leading world publishers.
- PenReader - handwriting recognition technology that instantly converts handwriting from the touch screen to text. It supports 17 languages and is used in a number of well-known applications for iOS [6] and Android, such as Evernote, Handwriting Dato and Handwrite Note Free, MyScript Calculator.
