"Forward" - the official organ of the Ukrainian Social Democratic Party (USDP). The motto of the newspaper “ Workers of all countries, unite! ".
The first issue of the newspaper was published on December 17, 1911, the last number - 1934. A total of 813 issues were published.
The Vperyod newspaper was published in Lviv in 1911-1913, 1918-1922, 1924, 1929, 1931, 1933, 1934.
The editors of Vperyod were: V. Levinsky (1911-1912), Yu. Bachinsky (1913), P. Bunyak (1918-1922, 1931), E. Gutsalo (1918-1919), I. Kalyatinsky (1924), M. Galushko (1929), P. Kostyuk (1931), L. Gankevich (1933, 1934).
The Vperyod newspaper was founded in December 1911 by a group of “young” or “secessionists” in the USPP, which, after the party split at its Fourth Congress (December 3-4, 1911), began to publish its own print organ. In 1913 came the four rooms "Forward", then the newspaper ceased publication.
On November 27, 1919, the Forward edition was restored. In November 1918-1919, Vperyod stepped out in parallel with Cyrillic and Latin transcriptions by order of the Polish military authorities of Lviv (General T. Rozvadovsky and the Polish Army Initial Command).
