It originates southeast of the Moldavskaya reed mountain range, between it and Mount Udar [3] . It flows from the source to the southeast along the East Lisyansky Range in the area covered with birch-fir forest [3] . In the lower and middle reaches, it winds, in the mouth part it is divided into several channels [4] . It falls into the bay of Patience [4] . At the mouth is the village of New [4] . The width of the river in the lower reaches 30 meters, the depth is 1.2 meters [4] .
It flows through the territory of the Poronaysky and Makorovsky urban districts of the Sakhalin region .
