Biography
Mercedes Cabrera studied political science and sociology at Complutense University . Since 1996, she has taught history of political theories at the same university. In 2004 she was elected to the lower house of the Spanish parliament . In 2006-2009, she held the position of Minister of Education in the Zapatero government. In this post, she was replaced by Angel Gabilondo . Mercedes Cabrera is married and has two children.
