Nanthi-Kadal ( ibid. நந்திக்கடல் [Nantikkaṭal]) is a lake [1] of lagoon origin in the north of Sri Lanka in the district of Mullaitivu (Northern Province) . Area - 14 km². The maximum width is 5 km [2] .

The lagoon is fed by many small rivers . The city of Mullaitivu is sandwiched on a narrow strip of land between the Nanti lagoon and the Indian Ocean .
