He received his first salary in the summer of 1986 at the Lermontov Experimental Plant "Orgtehnika", where he received the specialty "Mechanic Assembly Worker".
In 1987 he graduated with honors from secondary school No. 2 of the city of Lermontov, Stavropol Territory. He was fond of tourism, photography. He possessed remarkable mathematical abilities, as well as an extraordinary sense of humor.
In 1992 he graduated from the Moscow Geological Prospecting Institute .
In 1998 he graduated with honors ( summa cum laude ) from the Faculty of Philosophy of Moscow State University named after MV Lomonosov .
Since 1999, scientific editor of the philosophical and literary journal Logos , an employee of the Research Center for Phenomenological Philosophy of the Philosophical Faculty of the Russian State University for the Humanities

Philosophy of Culture
In his analysis of modern culture, as well as the problems facing modern society, Kurennaya pays great attention to the difference between urban and non-urban cultures [6] . He carries out the analysis of urban culture on the material of its most widespread aspects: coffee houses [7] , Facebook [8] , etc.
According to the philosopher, modern state cultural policy is largely determined by the legacy of the Soviet system of cultural institutions. [9]
At the Faculty of Philosophy, HSE Kurennaya teaches courses on the history of the sciences of culture, modern mass culture, and museization of culture [2] .
Phenomenology and the History of Philosophy
V. A. Kurennoy is a translator and one of the few specialists in Europe who inherited Adolf Reinach, a German phenomenologist and philosopher of law. [10] Co-editor of the collection “Anthology of Realistic Phenomenology” (M., 2006) [11] .
Member of the Russian Phenomenological Society. Member of the International Academy of Philosophy in the Principality of Liechtenstein [12] .
At the Faculty of Humanities, NRU HSE teaches the course "Introduction to Phenomenology" [2] .

V.A. Kurennoy is the initiator of a number of projects devoted to the phenomenon of intelligentsia and intellectuals in modern Russia. Movie Analysis
On the basis of works on the study of art by the Polish phenomenologist Roman Ingarden and structural analysis of the fairy tale of the Russian folklorist V. Ya. Propp, V. A. Kurennoy developed an original method for the study of modern cinema, suggesting a refusal to assess the aesthetic component of cinema (originality and quality of what is called directorial work or acting) and the attention span of the visually perceived structure of the film, the images and symbols used in it, other methods of broadcasting the general essage films. Cinema, therefore, is considered as one of the types of mass culture, and therefore, according to Kurenny's analytical method, its main cultural units are not films from the art house series, but blockbusters that embody the basic stereotypes, behavioral strategies and values of modern society [13 ] .
