Bethlehem ( Eng. Bethlehem , literally - Bethlehem ) is a city in the Lehigh and Northampton counties in the Lehigh Valley region of eastern Pennsylvania in the United States . According to the 2010 census, there were 74,982 people in the city [1] (as of 2006 - 73,100) [2] .

In July 2006, Money magazine placed Bethlehem in 88th place in the Top 100 Best Cities for Living [2] .
In ancient times, the territory of the city belonged to the Delaware tribe Unalachtigo . In 1741, Count Zincendorf, led by a group of Gernguthers, founded a missionary station here.
