The Bale Mountains National Park is a national park in central Ethiopia , in the Oromia region .

The national park is located in the mountains of the same name and includes the highest peak of the Batu ridge (4307 m ). A park was established in 1970 on the territory of 2220 km² to protect mountain nyala and the Ethiopian jackal [1] [2] . In the 1990s, a hyena dog was spotted in the park [3] .
Park attendance in 2002 amounted to about 20 thousand tourists [4] .
