Fazoil Inoyatovich Ataullakhanov (born April 23, 1946 , Samarkand ) is a Soviet and Russian biophysicist . Professor of Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov and the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, Director of the Center for Physics and Chemistry , Physical- Chemical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Head of the Department of Biophysics, Federal Scientific and Practical Center named after Rogacheva. Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences in the Department of Physiological Sciences (from 10.28.2016).

The main direction of scientific activity is the biophysics of complex systems, in particular metabolism , blood coagulation , mitosis . Since 1986, he has about 3,500 citations for his work. The Hirsch Index is 32 [1] .
Biography
In 1969 he graduated from the Department of Biophysics, Faculty of Physics, Moscow State University named after MV Lomonosov . In 1974 he defended his thesis in the laboratory of S. E. Shnol . Since 1984 - Doctor of Biological Sciences. Since 1989, he worked as the head of the laboratory of the Hematology Research Center in Moscow. Since 1995 - professor at Moscow State University. Soros professor (1998) [2] . In 2006, became director of the Center for Physics and Chemistry at the Physical Chemical Physics Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences. In 2010, his team won the Rusnano investment project competition and founded the GemaKor company to develop a new method for the diagnosis of blood coagulation disorders [3] .

Scientific Achievements
He worked in the field of research on the energy metabolism of red blood cells in collaboration with A. M. Zhabotinsky , studying regulation experimentally and using mathematical models.
He developed a new concept of blood coagulation regulation [a 1] [a 2] , within the framework of which it was convincingly shown that blood coagulation is a typical autowave process in which the effects of bifurcation memory play a significant role.
Experimentally showed the role of microtubules in the movement of chromosomes during cell division and measured the strength they develop [a 3] .
