History
The first known mention of the street dates back to 1924. The street was called Kakhovskaya (as the road to Kakhovka passed along it) and entered the village of New Melitopol . (The village of New Melitopol, in contrast to the eponymous historical region of modern Melitopol, was not limited to the railway, but almost reached the present avenue of Bogdan Khmelnitsky .)
June 17, 1929 the street received the name of Krupskaya. NK Krupskaya herself was then alive, and in the same 1929 she took the post of Deputy Commissar of Education of the RSFSR .
During the German occupation, the name Kakhovskaya was temporarily returned to the street [2] .
In 1960, a fire station was opened on the street for three cars. [3]
On March 21, 2016, by decree No. 115 of the head of the Zaporizhia Regional State Administration, Krupskaya Street received a new name: Ivan Alekseev Street [4] - the founder of Gorky Park [5] .
