Biography

Early years

Teresa Knorr was born March 14, 1946 in Sacramento , was the youngest child in the family of Jim and Swanny Guy Crosses [2] . Jim worked as a cheese maker , Swanni made pencils . February 3, 1961, when Teresa was 14 years old, her mother died of a heart attack , because of which Cross fell into a long depression . She subsequently claimed that she had been abused by her adoptive mother in childhood [2] . According to information provided by family friends, Teresa was a reticent child, jealous of her sister Rosemary [3] .

On September 29, 1962, she married Clifford Clyde Sanders. July 16, 1963 they had a son, Howard Clyde [3] . On June 7, 1964, Cross killed her husband, later presenting the murder as self-defense. She was found not guilty. [4] After the death of Sanders began to meet with Robert Vallos Norr, she gave birth to his daughter Sheila Gay. On September 7, 1965 she married Norra. [2] In total, four children were born in a marriage: Susan Marlene (born 1966), William Robert (born 1967), Robert Wallace Jr. (b. 1968), Teresa "Terry" Mary (b. 1970). Subsequently, Teresa divorced Norr and married several times [5] .

Child Abuse

According to an interview with daughter Norr Terry on the documentary series , a woman has always abused her daughters (especially Susan and Sheila). Terry claimed that Norr hated her daughters because of the envy of their beauty. The girl said that Knorr regularly flogged them for no reason and extinguished cigarettes about them. The sons of Knorr taught to beat the sisters [6] .

In 1983, Knorr attempted to shoot Susan with a 22 caliber pistol . The bullet stuck in the girl's chest, but Susan survived. After that, Teresa did not try to repeat the assassination attempt, but refused to seek medical help. In 1984, Knorr attempted to remove a bullet from her daughter's body, using thioridazine and liqueur as anesthetics. Due to the non-sterility of the instruments, Susan contracted jaundice and began to show signs of insanity . Norr told her children that the girl was obsessed with Satan , and forced her sons to take Susan to the mountains of the Sierra Nevada and burn her alive [7] [8] .

Norr made her first daughter Sheila become a prostitute. In June 1985, she accused her daughter of having infected her with a sexual disease through the toilet seat. As punishment, Teresa locked her in a separate room, where, in a few weeks, Sheila died of starvation [9] [10] .

Arrest and Imprisonment

Norr and her sons were arrested on October 11, 1993, [2] after Terry, after watching , turned to the police [6] . Norr was accused of two first-degree murders, that is, torture. Initially, she denied her guilt, but upon learning that her sons had decided to testify against her and the death sentence was possible, Knorr confessed everything. October 17, 1995 sentenced to two life sentences [7] . Will be able to apply for parole not earlier than 2027 .
