The Imperial Ministry of Food and Agriculture ( German: Reichsministerium für Ernährung und Landwirtschaft (RMEL) ) was the central state institution in Germany from 1919 to 1945.
Content
History
Through the ministry and the Imperial Food Estate controlled by it, state-monopoly regulation of agricultural production and primary processing of agricultural raw materials was carried out [1] . After the introduction of food cards in September 1939, the Ministry established standards for food products (these standards did not apply to prisoners of concentration camps, foreign workers and prisoners of war).
