Carl Dean Wilson ( born Carl Dean Wilson ; December 21, 1946 - February 6, 1998) is an American musician, primarily known as the guitarist, vocalist and composer of the rock band The Beach Boys , the younger brother of Brian and Dennis Wilson , also members of the ensemble.

Biography
Carl Wilson was born December 21, 1946 in Hawthorne in the family of Merry and Audrey Wilson. His brothers were Brian and Dennis Wilson , and Mike Love was their cousin - they all became members of The Beach Boys, a group organized by their father in 1961. The first recordings of The Beach Boys took place when Wilson was still 14 years old (the song “Surfin '”). The main duties of the musician were playing the solo guitar (" Fender Jaguar ", twelve-stringed " Rickenbacker "), as well as vocal parts. After Brian Wilson began to move away from the affairs of the group after failure with the album " Smile " in 1967, Karl Wilson began to delve into the intricacies of studio work and the beginning of the 1970s. became the leader of the team. Wilson believed that the transformation of The Beach Boys into a nostalgic concert car hindered further creative development and was at odds with some members. As a result, in the early 1980s.
