Konstantinos (Kostas) Vasiliadis ( Greek Κωνσταντίνος "Κώστας" Βασιλειάδης ; born March 15, 1984 in Thessaloniki , Greece ) - Greek professional basketball player , stands for the Obradoiro basketball club. The nickname is the hawk.

Career

Club

Vasiliadis began his career at the Greek club PAOK , which played in the Greek Championship . He played at PAOK for six seasons and was the team captain. After an impressive start, he moved to the club of the Spanish Unicaja championship . In the 2006–07 season, he also performed quite successfully, becoming a prominent club and international figure in games on the European arena. With Unicaja in the 2006 season he became the champion of Spain.

On July 12, 2007, he signed a contract with the Greek super club Olympiacos , which in Greece is the implacable rival of PAOK. He helped the team finish second in the Greek championship in the 2007–08 season. In the 2008–09 season, Vasiliadis returned to PAOK, which during this period regained its position and needed strong players and became captain. However, before the start of the 2008–09 season, the player left for Italy , where he played for “ Montegranaro Basket Sutor ”. In August 2009 he moved to Spain , where he spent the season at Obradoiro . In 2010, he signed a three-year contract with the Bilbao basketball club with the right to extend for another three years ^[1] . In 2011, the team won silver medals in the Spanish Championship .

In 2013, he entered the symbolic Eurocup team. ^[2]

July 19, 2013 signed a contract with the Turkish team " Anadolu Ephesus ". ^[3]

International

At the international level, Vasiliadis played for the Greek national teams of various ages. With the Greek national team, he won the bronze medals of the FIBA European Basketball Championship for boys under 18 years of age 2002, as well as the World Championship for boys under 19 years of 2003, and following the results of performances in 2003, he was included in the all-stars team of the tournament. He also got into the all-stars team at the FIBA European Championship for boys under 20 in 2004, was the leader of the tournament by points.

With the Greek national team, he won a silver medal at the 2005 World Basketball Championship among youth teams (under 21 years old) , held in Argentina . Called to the first national team of Greece .
