Description
The flag of the Lacedaemon rural settlement is a rectangular panel with a 2: 3 ratio of width to length, reproducing the coat of arms of the Lacedaemon rural settlement in blue, yellow, white and red.
The heraldic description of the coat of arms reads: β In the azure field, a golden wavy jagged abstract distracted rafter at the top, followed by upward on the sides - two flying silver pigeons with scarlet eyes and beaks, below - a golden sheaf of wheat ears tied with scarlet ribbon .β
Justification of Symbols
The flag is based on the coat of arms of the Lacedaemon village settlement according to the rules and relevant traditions of vexillology and reflects historical, cultural, socio-economic, national and other local traditions.
The symbolism of the flag of the Lacedaemon rural settlement is ambiguous:
- the letter "L" (rafters) - the name of the rural settlement;
- foundation - founded by the Greek Alferaki (Greek colors: white-blue), populated mainly by Little Russians (Ukrainian colors - yellow-blue);
- owners - Alferaki - founders and first owners of the village of Lakedemonovka . Elements of the patrimonial coat of arms were taken (general coat of arms, part XVIII, No. 67): colors (azure, gold, silver), notched rafters, sheaf of bread, pigeons.
In addition, the indicated colors and figures in heraldry have their deep symbolic meaning:
- blue color (light blue) - impeccability, nobleness, a reservoir (sea, river, estuary);
- yellow color ( gold ) - prosperity, wealth, greatness, agriculture;
- white color ( silver ) - purity, perfection;
- rafters - the pursuit of excellence, the design of a comfortable and cozy house (settlement);
- sheaf - unity, agriculture, fertility;
- pigeons - divine purity, spirituality, the center of spirituality (the church of the village of Lacedemonovka [1795] - one of the oldest churches in the region).
