The Diocese of Emdibira extends its jurisdiction to the territory of a part of the Region of the Peoples and Nationalities of the South and part of the Oromia region. The diocese of Emdibira is included in the metropolitan Addis Ababa . The cathedral of the diocese of Emdibir is the church of St. Anthony of Padua .

History
On November 25, 2003, Pope John Paul II issued the Ad universae incrementum bull , which established the Diocese of Emdibir, isolating it from the archdiocese of Addis Ababa.
