Career

Pupil of the Sunday school hockey school " Chemist ". Then Loktionov trained in the Spartak system before signing a contract with the Yaroslavl Lokomotiv . He was also a member of the Russian junior hockey team for a long time. It was drafted in 2008 by the Los Angeles Kings Club under a common 123rd number.

In the 2010/11 season, he scored his first goal in the NHL for the Kings. This happened on October 19, 2010 in a match against Carolina Hurricanes against Justin Peters . In the 2011-2012 season as part of the Los Angeles Kings , Loktionov won the Stanley Cup , having spent 39 games in the regular season and 2 games in relegation matches. According to the rules of the NHL, Loktionov’s name should not be engraved on the Stanley Cup, since he did not have enough games, but his name was placed on the cup at the request of the club [3] [4] .

On February 6, 2013, Loktionov moved to the New Jersey Devils club in exchange for a choice in the 5th round of the 2013 NHL Draft [5] .

In the same year he made his debut for the Russian national team at the World Cup in Finland , where in 7 matches he was able to score one point and become the best player in the team on the +/- (+6) system.

March 5, 2014 was exchanged at "Carolina" for Tuomo Ruuta [6] . He played 20 games, scored 10 (3 + 7) points.

At the 2014 World Cup , which was held in Minsk, Loktionov went as a “player without a contract”, but after playing just one shift, he suffered a serious shoulder injury [7] and missed the rest of the tournament, but became the world champion.

Having completely recovered from his injury in December 2014, he signed a contract with the Yaroslavl Lokomotiv for a period of one year [8] .

In the seasons 2015/16 and 2016/17, Loktionov also played as part of the "railway", in the last season he became a bronze medalist. In 2017, after the expiration of the contract with Yaroslavl, the player and the leadership of the team could not agree on a new agreement, and Loktionov signed a viewing contract with his first NHL club, the Los Angeles Kings [9] [10] . According to the results of the training camp, the club refused to sign a full-fledged contract with the player [11] .
