Sycosaurus

Sycosaurus (lat.) - a genus of synapsids from the family Gorgonopsidae . Known from the Kistecephal zone of Tanzania . Gorgonops of medium size, the length is estimated between 1.2 m and 2.5 m. The length of the skull is 24–34 cm. There are five upper incisors and back teeth, and one pair of upper canines. It is most likely that he led a predatory lifestyle, hunting for herbivorous animals.
