Career
Club career
Olympus began his career in the Norwegian club " Volerenga ". In his debut season for the team, he won two championships at once, winning the Elite series and the youth championship. After this success, he moved to Manglerud Star the following year, where he scored 20 successful points in 35 matches. Before the start of the 2004/05 season, Olympus left Manglerud, as the club was transferred to the second division due to financial problems. Throughout the 2004/05 season, Mathis held the Ontario Hockey League , where he played for the London Knights and Sarnia Sting . Before the next season, Olimb returned to Norway, where he spent two more seasons as part of Volerenga. In both of these seasons, Mathis became the champion of Norway, and in the 2006/07 season was also the best assistant GET-ligaen .
In the summer of 2007, Olympus contracted the Augsburg Panther club of the German Hockey League . For two years in the team, he spent 97 games in which he scored 27 goals and gave 53 assists. The season 2009/10 OLIMB spent in the team of the Swedish elite series Frölund [1] . In 62 games for Froelund, he scored 38 (10 + 28) points. After the season, he contracted Chicago Blackhawks as a free agent [2] . Olimb did not manage to make his debut in the NHL : he spent the whole season at the farm club Rockford Ice Hogs.
Before the 2011/12 season, Olympus returned to Froelund [3] . In 55 matches of the regular season, he scored 41 (10 + 31) points, adding to this 4 points earned in 6 games of the playoffs . He also took part in a club international tournament for the first time, playing with Froelund in the European trophy . The team at the end of the tournament took the seventh place, and Olimb scored 11 points in 10 matches.
International Career
Olympus has a great experience in playing for the national team of Norway in the international arena. In the period from 2002 to 2006, he played at 3 junior and 4 youth world championships . Twice, he and the team left the First Division in the TOP Division, but also three times and left the elite group. At UChM D1-2003, Olympus became the best assistant, and at MFM D1-2005 became both the best assistant and the best scorer of the tournament.
In 2007, Olympus debuted for the main team at the World Championships . At this tournament, the Norwegian team took the worst place in the world championships, when Olimb was in their bid - 14th place. Mathis himself at the tournament gave 3 assists in 6 games.
At the World Championships in 2008, the Norwegian team took the eighth place, reached the quarterfinals, where they lost to the Canadian team - 2: 8. Olymp at his tournament scored his first goal at the world championships.
In 2010, Olympus entered the application for the Norwegian team to participate in the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver [4] . The team at the end of the tournament took only 10 place, and Mathis scored two points in four games. In May of this year, he took part in the World Championship. In 6 games Olimb managed to score 4 (1 + 3) points.
The 2011 World Championships became very successful for Olymba, as well as for the Norwegian team. The team reached the quarter-finals, where they lost to the future champion, the Finnish national team with a score of 1: 4. Olympus also became the best assistant of the championship, scoring 8 points.
Olympus entered the application for the 2012 World Cup [5] . At the end of the tournament, the Norwegians took the eighth place, losing in the quarterfinals of the Russian team - 2: 5. Mathis again made a good "podnoschik projectiles", giving 6 assists in 8 games.
