History
Akepsy and Aifal were from Persia . Akepsy was a pagan priest in the city of Arbela . He turned to a Christian bishop , hoping to receive healing from his illness. The bishop taught him instruction in the faith and life of the Christian and healed him with his illness from illness. After that, Akepsy returned to Arbela, being ordained as a presbyter , and began to preach Christianity among the local population. This became known to the ruler of Arbela, who summoned Akepsia to himself and ordered him to cut off his ear and imprison him. Aifal was a deacon of the Church of Arbel. Captured for his confession of Christianity, he was beaten by the elder priests and sent to prison. After that, Akepsy and Aifal were brought to the ruler of Arbela. He demanded to renounce Christianity, and when Akepsy and Aifal refused to do so, he condemned them to cut off the head [1] .
