Biography

Born in the family of the artist Aristide Iconom . In Vienna, he was educated and began his actor career. He arrived in Greece in 1900 - 1901 and began teaching at the drama school, which at that time was a division of the Royal Theater , and also worked as a director at the theater.

In Athens, Ekonomu met Marika Kotopuli , with whom he even played in a pair in an erotic production. In 1906, he left the Royal Theater with Marika and worked in the studio of his father Marika Dimitris Kotopoulis, where he was able to deliver Icon, quite innovative for the Athenian theater, to stage.

From 1918 to 1922, he worked at the Athens Odeon as a professor and journalist. Among the students of Icon was the Greek actor Dimitris Roniters.
