History
In 1928 , with the aim of developing mass sports in the village of Obukhovo and attracting young people to classes, the Obukhov Fine Art Factory named after Lenin next to the local House of Culture began construction of the stadium. In 1939, the first ice was flooded on the field. In summer and winter, local football and hockey teams conducted training and games at the sports facility.
With the beginning of World War II , due to lack of food, the stadium field was given over for planting potatoes.
After the war, the field was restored, locker rooms and lighting masts were built, water supply was carried out [1] .
In 1976 - 1978, due to the lack of ice in Moscow, several games of the USSR Ice Hockey Championship and the European Cup were held at the stadium by Moscow Dynamo .
On January 19, 2006, the Governor of the Moscow Region Boris Gromov decided to carry out a major overhaul of cultural facilities in the village of Obukhovo , including the stadium. The old structures were completely dismantled, two stands were erected, new mast lighting, a digital display and refrigeration units for artificial ice.
On February 13, 2008, the grand opening of the reconstructed stadium took place.
In 2010, the president of the Federation of International Bendy and the Russian Ice Hockey Federation, Boris Skrynnik , visited the stadium, who expressed a proposal to hold some competitions in the new arena. Since January 2011, the Obukhovo IC stadium has regularly hosted various All-Russian ball hockey competitions. There are also training camps for youth teams of Russia.
In February 2011, the World Hockey Championship was held among girls no older than 1994, and in December of that year, the World Hockey Championship among youth teams was held at the stadium.
