Prologue. 1999-2000 year

Little Rita lives with her father Genesio and his young wife Carmigna. Pretending to be a caring mother and faithful wife, the woman actually wants to steal her husband for a couple with her lover Max. This becomes known to Rita, who from the very beginning did not trust her stepmother and always tried to open her eyes to her father at the duplicity of Carmigny. And in the end she succeeds. Having learned the whole truth about his wife, Genesio wants to hand over Carmigno to the police. But a tragic accident intervenes ...

Jorge Araujo, nicknamed Typhoon, is the famous Brazilian footballer who strikes the Flamengo team. Just a few hours ago, the hero scored a winning goal in the final of the Rio Championship. In full steam, he rushes home in a car to celebrate his victory with his family and friends. Dissecting the highway (Prospect Brazil), he does not notice Genesio on the highway and knocks him down. Rita’s father dies in the hands of the Typhoon, having managed to pronounce only the name of Carmigny, his wife, but does not have time to name his own daughter. To preserve his reputation and career, Typhoon hides from the scene, having previously called an ambulance.

An inner feeling of guilt and a desire to help the family of the deceased person lead Typhoon to meet Carminha. Having figured out the true reason for the help of the football player, the insightful villain poses as an inconsolable victim of circumstances, an unhappy widow and decides to take advantage of such a successful situation to marry Typhoon. With the help of an insidious plan for a couple with Max, she separates the hero from the bride Monalisa, becomes the wife of a football player, and adds Max to her husband to Typhoon’s sister, Ivan.

Little Rita, learning about the death of her father, becomes a victim of a brutal scam from Carmigny and with her help falls into the city dump . Here, the child is forced to survive in conditions of human cruelty, betrayal and fear in the face of the vile and worthless Nilu - a resident of a landfill who lives solely due to the exploitation of children. But the landfill is also the place where Rita finds true, sincere love in the person of the local boy Batata and his patroness, Mama Lucinda, who replaced the homeless children of their mothers. No one knows the reasons why this mysterious woman ended up in a landfill. But her mysterious past is closely connected with Carmine, who just as sincerely hates Lucinda, as does Rita Carmigno herself. The story of her own life makes a woman sacrifice her affection for a girl in order to save her from a desire to revenge a mean stepmother. With the help of Lucinda, Ritu is adopted by a couple of Argentines who give her a new name - Nina. Despite the opportunity to forget her tragic childhood, the heroine grows up with the thought of justice and revenge Carmine, which pretty much affects the psyche of the girl.

At the same time, it turns out that Batata is the son of Carmigny and Max, whom her mother had once left in the garbage dump of Lusinda. And now, having realized his plan to become Typhoon’s wife, the insidious villain comes for a child in order to adopt her own son in comfortable conditions under the guise of adoption. And that same mysterious past does not give any opportunity for Lucinda to contradict Carmigne. Trusting Typhoon takes a son to his family. The boy quickly finds a common language with his adoptive father and takes on a new name - Jorginho, in honor of Jorge Georges the “Typhoon”.

Twelve years have passed. Nina (Rita) lives with one single thought - the desire to take revenge on her offenders. After the death of her foster parents, the girl decides to return to Brazil in order to realize her plans. She knows that Carminha became the wife of Typhoon. Nina (Rita) meets Typhoon’s sister Ivana on the Internet and learns that their family needs a cook and, taking the opportunity, becomes a cook in the house of her former stepmother.

Carminha is a passionate lover of all white, a respectable mother of the family, and the wife of the richest man in the Divino County, a small suburb of Rio de Janeiro, where many of the heroes of history live. Carmigna allows herself to be taunted not only by tasteless, provincial relatives and servants, but also in relation to her own daughter Agatha, a prone to fullness girl of unshiny appearance, in contrast to the beautiful mother. Once, Carminha used this pregnancy to get closer to Typhoon and his family. Now her daughter is like a thorn in her eye - a reminder of the past.

When a new cook appears in Typhoon’s mansion, the stepmother will not recognize her own stepdaughter Rita, who she once robbed and sent to the dump, as a child. Nina uses this opportunity and is trying hard to bring the hostess to clean water. For the sake of retribution, the girl is ready to do anything: falsification, deceit, bribery, lies. Acting by cunning, Nina draws closer and closer to Carmine, who, without realizing anything, begins to trust the maid as her closest friend. Acting against Carmigny by her own methods, the heroine step by step approaches the implementation of her plan. After all, Nina is sure that a woman is a vile scammer and a thief who has been deceiving a rich husband all her life, and therefore, deserving revenge, she is simply obliged to endure the same moral horrors as the main character once in her childhood in a dump.

Nothing can stop Nina in her insidious but fair plan of retribution. Unless the sincere love of two women for one man, Jorginho, and the mysterious past of Lucinda, which in many ways unites the implacable enemies - Nina and Carminho.

In the original synopsis, the hero Murilu Beniciu was the so-called. A “new rich man”, living not in the suburbs, but in the prestigious Rio district. The World Cup in Brazil in 2014 made adjustments: by the will of the producers, the hero became a football player - a fictional striker Jorge Araujo, nicknamed Typhoon. The team Typhoon plays for is the Flamengo club, which just became the champion of Rio de Janeiro in 1999 for an excellent game. After the reconstruction of the Maracan stadium, its appearance has changed dramatically compared to 1999. For filming scenes of the first series, the film crew specifically searched for a suitable stadium in architecture across the country. Missing items were added using computer technology and archive frames.

Initially, the role of Carmigny was intended for two actresses who were supposed to play the antagonist in two different time phases: Fabiula Nascimento in 1999 and Eliani Giardini in 2012. In the approved cast, Fabiula played the friend of Monalisa Olenka, and Eliani - the mother of Typhoon, the screaming Murisi. Subsequently, the screenwriter used the great outward similarity of the two actresses in the development of their own characters.

The role of Suelen in the series was supposed to play one of the favorite actresses of the author of "Prospect" - the dark-skinned actress Tais Araujo, who played in all the projects of João Emanuel Carneiro. However, instead of Prospect, the actress chose the main role in the TV series Abyss of Charm, which went on during the same period and became no less popular with the audience. Instead of Thais, the role of Suelen was played by actress Isis Valverdi, which led to some changes in the script. The actress so convincingly played the role of a windy and frivolous girl, ready to meet with any of the “serial” football players, that she received rave reviews from critics and the popular nickname of “Beloved Gulena of Brazil”.

Two Argentinean actors took part in the short episode: Jean-Pierre Noer and Daniel Kuznieka.

The television series was not only a great success among the Brazilian television audience, but also brought significant profit to the Globus television company - about two billion reais. According to estimates published on the Forbes website, the television series has become the most financially successful television project in Latin America since the existence of television ^{[5] [6]} .
