Aslanov, Aslan Ahmed oglu

Aslan Aslanov was born on August 18, 1951 in the Jabrayil region . Over 30 years working in print. 1975 - graduated from Azerbaijan State University, Faculty of Journalism.

1975-1990 - worked in various republican newspapers, including the Kommunist newspaper.

1992 - started working as a correspondent for AzerTaj, after which he held the posts of deputy editor-in-chief and editor-in-chief.

1997 - By the order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev was appointed first deputy general director of AzerTaj.

October 2002 - By the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev was appointed the general director of AzerTaj ^[1] .

From 1993 to 2002 - participated as a special correspondent of AzerTaj in the overwhelming majority of visits of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev to foreign countries.

Since 1979 is a member of the Union of Journalists of Azerbaijan .

Since December 12, 2007 is a member of the Bureau of the Organization of Information Agencies in Asia and the Pacific (OANA) ^[2] .

Since 2004, he has been a member of the State Commission of the Azerbaijan Republic on the affairs of prisoners, missing and taken hostage by citizens, since 2006 - the Coordination Council of World Azerbaijanis, since 2010 - the Russian Philosophical Society of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Since 2008, he has chaired the Association of Turkic News Agencies.

From June 2011 to March 2013, he was President of the Association of National News Agencies of the Black Sea Region - PANIA - an alliance of news agencies of 14 countries participating in the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation.

In September 2013, he was elected Vice-President of OANA.

In 2013, he was elected a member of the International Expert Council on the World Rating.

For 2016-2019, he was elected President of the World Congress of News Agencies ^[3] and the Organization of News Agencies in Asia and the Pacific ^[4]

In March 2017, by the decree of President Ilham Aliyev was appointed Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan State News Agency ^[5] .

He is married, has one son.

• Order of Friendship ( August 19, 2011 , Russia ) - for a great contribution to the development of Russian-Azerbaijani relations ^[10]
• Winner of the Hasan Bek Zardabi Prizes, Golden Pen and Higher Media in Journalism
• "Silver Jubilee Medal of the CIS" (2013) - for his contribution to the development of the integration of the CIS member states ^[11]
• The commemorative medal "20th anniversary of TYURKSOY" ( January 10, 2014 ) ^[12]
