Biography
Born on April 19, 1964 in the village of Roganovka, Sergach district, Gorky region, in a working class family.
In 1972-1983 he studied at Sergach secondary school. In 1982-1984, he served as a sexton of the St. Nicholas Church in the village of Lopatino, Sergach District .
In 1984-1986 he served in the ranks of the Armed Forces of the USSR .
Immediately after demobilization, by order of the Archbishop of Vladimir and Suzdal, Serapion (Fadeev) was appointed his cell-man , full-time subdeacon and commandant of the Vladimir Diocesan Administration.
On June 2, 1986, Archbishop Serapion was tonsured a Riasophore ; on June 24, he became a monk with the name Neil in honor of the Monk Neil of Sora ; on July 6 he was ordained a reader and subdeacon .
On July 17, 1986, Archbishop Serapion in the Assumption Cathedral of the city of Vladimir was ordained a hierodeacon , and on August 19 in the Assumption Cathedral of the Trinity-Sergius Lavra in the Hieromonk . Appointed rector of the house church in the name of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God of the Bishops’s chambers in Vladimir.
In 1988 he was elevated to the rank of abbot .
On September 8, 1988, Metropolitan Chisinau and Moldavian Serapion was elevated to the rank of archimandrite with the laying of a club , a cross with ornaments and miter .
Under Archbishop Valentin (Mishchuk) he served as the head of the newly opened Ascension Church.
On October 26, 1990, with the advent of Bishop Evlogy (Smirnov) , he was assigned to the staff of the Vladimir diocese with the right to transfer to the Tambov diocese , where he became personal secretary of the bishop Evgeny (Zhdan) of Tambov and Michurinsky.
May 1, 1991 was assigned to the state of the Tambov diocese and returned to the Vladimir diocese. Bishop of Vladimir and Suzdal Eulogius (Smirnov) appointed economist of the revived Mother of God-Nativity Lukianova male desert near the city of Alexandrov .
On February 23, 1993, with the blessing of Patriarch Alexy II , he was appointed governor of the newly opened Smolensk Zosimova male desert near the Arsaki railway station in the Aleksandrovsky district of the Vladimir region .
From 1996 to 2001 was the dean of the monasteries of the Vladimir diocese. Since October 9, 2001 - Dean of the monasteries of the Vladimir district of the Vladimir diocese.
On July 17, 2001, by the decision of the Holy Synod, he was approved by the Viceroy of the Theotokos-Nativity Monastery in Vladimir with discharge from the duties of the Viceroy of the Smolensk Zosimova Desert in the Aleksandrovsky District of the Vladimir Region [1] .
He was a member of the diocesan and monastery council of the Vladimir diocese, and obeyed the secretary of the Vladimir diocesan administration of monasteries.
In 2005 he graduated in absentia from Vladimir Theological Seminary , as well as Vladimir State University with a degree in Psychology.
In 2006, he was appointed head of the distance learning sector of the Vladimir Theological Seminary on educational, financial and practical work.
In 2007, he was included in the unified diocesan restoration and construction department as the head of the construction and restoration work department. In 2008, he became a member of the diocesan commission on anniversary dates and the organization of anniversary celebrations and events.
In January 2009, he was a delegate to the Local Council of the Russian Orthodox Church from monks of the Vladimir diocese [2] .
In 2009, he was appointed head of the construction department of the Vladimir Diocese. In 2010, he was appointed chairman of the diocesan commission for auditing the financial and economic activities of parishes and monasteries.
Bishops
On March 16, 2012, by the decision of the Holy Synod and according to the petition of the Archbishop of Vladimir and Suzdal Eulogius, he was elected bishop of Murom , vicar of the Vladimir diocese [3] .
On April 23, 2012, in the Church of All Saints, in the land of Russia, the Patriarchal and Synodal residences in the Holy Danilov Monastery were named Bishop of Murom, Vicar of the Vladimir Diocese [4] .
On May 2, 2012, in the Church of the Resurrection of the Word Pokrovsky Convent in Moscow, he was ordained bishop of Murom, vicar of the Vladimir diocese. The consecration was performed by: Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Kirill , Metropolitan of Saransk and Mordovia Barsanuphius (Sudakov) , Metropolitan of Tula and Efremov Alexy (Kutepov) , Metropolitan of Yekaterinburg and Verkhotursky Cyril (Nakonechny) , Archbishop of Vladimir and Suzdal- Yevlopy (Euroliy) German (Moralin) , Bishop of Solnechnogorsk Sergius (Chashin) , Bishop of Balti and Felesht Markell (Mikheesku) , Bishop of Nizhny Tagil and Serov Innocent (Yakovlev) [5] .
From June 11 to June 25, 2012, postgraduate courses for newly appointed bishops took place at the Church Graduate School and Doctoral School [6] [7] .
July 16, 2013 became an independent bishop of Murom and Vyaznikovsky [8] .
