Kalkiliya ( Arabic: قلقيلية ; Ivr . קַלְקִילִיָה ) is a city in the State of Palestine , on the territory of the West Bank of the Jordan River , in the historical area of Samaria . The administrative center of the province of the same name Kalkiliya .

Geography
Kalkiliya is located on the green line, the border of the West Bank. Jordan. To the west of the city is located Kfar Sawa (Israel), north of Kochav Yair (Israel), to the east of Alfei Menashe ( Israeli settlement ).
History
After the Arab-Israeli war of 1947-1949 under the control of Jordan . During the six-day war in 1967, occupied by Israel.
As a result of the agreements in Oslo, the city passed under the civil and military control of the Palestinian National Authority .
After the construction of the Israeli separation barrier , the city was almost completely surrounded by it.
