“Händel-Werke-Verzeichnis” (abbreviated as HWV - “Handel's Catalog of Works”) is a numbering system for all known works of Georg Friedrich Handel . The three-volume catalog was published from 1978 to 1986 by the musicologist Halle-Wittenberg University, , contains all the author’s famous works, as well as controversial and composed by other composers. In addition to the list of essays, the catalog contains factual information, including early printed sources.
In addition to this catalog, there are two more complete collections of Handel's works: ( HG , compiled by Friedrich Criesander ) and ( HHA , Halle publisher), which also contains critical assessments.
