Below is a list of MBTA stations . This list includes all metro , light rail , and high-speed bus services currently open in the Boston Metro. All stations are owned by the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) . Currently, there are 146 stations operating on 5 lines [1] , many of which are located in the Greater Boston area. Boyleston and Park Street stations, which opened in 1897, were the first subway stations in the United States of America. [2]

Station (Branch)The official name for the Boston subway station. A wheelchair symbol next to the station name indicates that the station is suitable for disabled people.
LineThe lines to which this station belongs are indicated. The highlighted line name means that the station is the terminal for this line.
