Church of the Savior on Waters ( Church of the Savior of the Miraculous Image ) is an Orthodox church in Murmansk . It belongs to the Murmansk deanery of the Murmansk and Monchegorsk diocese . The church got its name from the icon of Christ walking on the waters. It is part of the memorial complex in memory of sailors who died in peacetime. The service is conducted with sign language interpretation - for deaf parishioners.

History
The church was built in honor of the 85th anniversary of the city on the donations of citizens, became the first stone church on the heights of Murmansk, on a hill near Lake Semenovsky . The building is clearly visible from the city center. This is the third stone church in the city after St. Nicholas (1985) and Vladimir churches (1999). The temple was consecrated in October 2002.
In 2005, the church building was desecrated by Satanists who stained the walls with the blood of animals [1] .
Description
The temple was built in the old Russian style, with an attached bell tower. The church should become part of the future main church of Murmansk - the complex of the Transfiguration of the Sea Cathedral. Revered Shrines:

Also in the temple are icons of northern saints, wonderworkers and assistants to sailors - the Monks Tryphon of Pechenga and Varlaam of Kerets. The iconostasis of the temple is made of linden and is made in the northern style.
