Sarkolenic ( lat . Sarcolaenaceae ) - a family of flowering plants of the order malvotsvetnye . Endemics of Madagascar . These are mostly evergreen trees and shrubs . The family is represented by 40 species in 10 genera. Recent DNA studies have shown that sarkolenic are a related taxon to the dipterocarp family.
