Kristina was taken to the movement by her mother, who was attracted by the free teaching of courses in humanitarian subjects (history, politics, psychology). Soon Potupchik became the press secretary of Nashi in Vladimir [10] .
Since 2007, she replaced Robert Schlegel as the press secretary of the youth “ Our Movement ” [10] . Later in a number of media [ what? ] there were publications that Potupchik also worked on a voluntary basis at the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs .
In 2010, Gazeta.ru reported that Potupchik in his blog talked about the release of a calendar for Putin - a calendar with erotic photographs of students of the journalism faculty of Moscow State University as a gift to V.V. Putin . Putin’s spokesman , D. Peskov, said he was hearing about a calendar like this for the first time and that this was a private initiative of Potupchik [11] . She participated in the distribution of videos compromising independent journalists and representatives of the opposition [12] .
From 2008 to 2010, she was the press secretary of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs Rosmolodezh - in 2012, Novaya Gazeta wrote that the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs did not even know Patupchik's middle name [13] .
On June 27, 2012, in her blog on LiveJournal, she announced that she was tired and was leaving the Nashi movement. The new press secretary of Nashi was Anastasia Fedorenchik [5] .
In 2013, she joined the commissioners of the new wave of the Nashi movement, who opposed the founder of the movement Vasily Yakemenko [14] [15] who visited the May Congress.
Open New Democracy Foundation
At the end of February 2013, Potupchik announced that she intends to create a fund for supporting non-profit Internet projects “Fund” (Open New Democracy Fund). According to her, the organization will support “really important projects, starting with the popularization of donation, ending with an accessible explanation of taxation schemes” [10] . According to the magazine Kommersant Vlast, this structure is engaged in monitoring, writing posts and analyzing the moods of the blogosphere for the presidential administration [16] .
In December 2013, the newspaper Vedomosti wrote that Potupchik, as the head of the fund, from November 29 to December 1, 2013 was supposed to participate in a three-day educational seminar on working on the Internet, which the United Russia party held for 200 employees of regional executive committees. The topic of her lectures was the effective work with the Internet audience on Twitter and Facebook [17] .
Mail Trickster
At the end of January 2012, hackers calling themselves Russian Anonymous began publishing hacked mail for the head of Rosmolodezh, Vasily Yakemenko, and press secretary of the Nashi movement, Kristina Potupchik, for a total of 16 GB [18] . They themselves did not comment on the hacking messages [19] or refute their contents, also without contacting the Ministry of Internal Affairs with hacking emails [20] .
The published letters contained information about bloggers who received money and material gifts for their publications (for example, the iPad [20] ). Among them were Ilya Varlamov (zyalt) (400 thousand rubles for two posts) and Sergey Mukhamedov (ottenki_serogo), Oleg Makarenko (fritzmorgen) and Igor Bigdan (ibigdan) [19] . In addition, in the correspondence they found a discussion of the Reedus project, which gave bloggers grounds to consider this media “ Surkov 's project” [19] . The correspondence between Potupchik and the head of the apparatus of the Nashi movement Arthur Omarov dated February 2008 [21] discusses plans for "creating unbearable conditions" for the Kommersant holding: blocking the work of the publishing house, and "psychologically and physically finish off" employees. This was supposed to be done through the purchase and destruction of the daily circulation of the Kommersant newspaper (it was planned to spend 1.5 million rubles), a DDoS attack on a site lasting five hours, blocking the printing house [20] . After that, some young people began to picket the newspaper and hand out toilet paper with the Kommersant logo, and unknown hackers attacked the publication’s website a month later [21] .
After the correspondence was published, Kommersant CEO Demyan Kudryavtsev accused Potupchik of coordinating DDoS attacks on the newspaper’s website in 2008 because of a publication where the Nashi movement was called a " jubilant gopot " that the government no longer needed. . He promised to demand from the Ministry of Internal Affairs a criminal case against Potupchik and other persons involved in this case [21] . In turn, Potupchik accused him of libel and threatened to file lawsuits [22] .
At the end of December 2014, the Anonymous International group published letters, according to them, sent by Kristina Potupchik, containing reports on the behavior of the opposition on social networks and critical media publications regarding the current government. Among the addressees was the former head of the Young Guard , and at the time of publication, the deputy head of the presidential administration’s internal affairs department Timur Prokopenko , one of the letters was edited by the former activist of the Nashi movement Anastasia Fedorenchik. The group’s twitter says that the posted correspondence is “a small part of the archives available” [23] .
Membership in the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation
In May 2014, Potupchik put forward her candidacy for Internet elections of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation .
During the election process in the RF OP, a competitor, Potupchik Valery Fedotov, was asked a question by an abnormal, in his opinion, increase in the vote for her candidacy (800 votes after the first two weeks of voting were added immediately for the next 4 days 2,500). He believed that such a result could not be achieved simply by campaigning on the Internet [24] [25] [ significance of fact? ]
As a result of the vote, Potupchik got into the OP of the Russian Federation, taking second place in the prize three with 32531 votes, slightly losing to the chief editor of Kommersant FM radio station and former comrade-in-arms of the first deputy head of the presidential administration Vyacheslav Volodin Maria Komarova. In the Public Chamber, Potupchik is engaged in "the development of the information society, the media and mass communications" [6] .
Initiatives
Potupchik advocates the abolition of 282 of the Criminal Code and the reform of anti-extremist legislation. On her blogs, she criticized the criminal punishment of Ildar Dadin , the first convict for repeated violation of the rules for mass rallies, and Yevgenia Chudnovets, convicted of reposting the video [26] [27] .
