In the 2012 presidential election, residents of the canton voted in the 1st round of Marine Le Pen 32.2% of the vote against 29.0% in Francois Hollande and 14.6% in Nicolas Sarkozy , in the 2nd round, Hollande won, receiving 62.9% of the vote (2007 1st round: Segolen Royal - 25.4%; Sarkozy - 22.4%. 2nd round: Royal - 55.6%). In the elections to the National Assembly in 2012 in the 3rd constituency of the Pas de Calais department, they supported the candidate of the Socialist Party, Guy Delcourt , who won 28.8% of the vote in the 1st round and 57.8% in the 2nd round. (2007 13th district. Guy Delcourt (joint venture): 1st round - 31.0%, 2nd round - 66.2%). In the 2010 regional elections, the list of socialists won in the 1st round, collecting 33.1% of the vote against 24.7% of the National Front, 16.3% of the Communists and 7.0% of the list of "rightists".
