School number 706 was founded in 1952 ^[1] . The five-story red brick school building, originally located on the passage of the All Saints Cemetery, and now at 6 Peschany Pereulok , was built according to the standard design of the architect L. A. Stepanova ^[2] . The directors of the school were: I.P. Lanskoy, S.D. Shipkova, Alexander Ivanovich Serov - historian. The person is strict, too strict, but fair. The very first students here were ninth-graders who studied for only two years - the school was then a decade. It was already attended by girls and boys, although there were still female (149th on Vrubel St.) and male (693th on Panfilov St.) schools. In 1954, the first set of first-graders took place. The time was still difficult, post-war, poor for most people. The guys could not put on a real school uniform, it was not enough, there were not enough funds for the uniform. For a long time, the form of elders passed to the younger, textbooks were not enough. The pens were with a feather, the children had to wear ink tanks. For the first 10-15 years, the school building stood out against the backdrop of Moscow courtyards, drowning in spring in the colors of lilacs, beloved in these places, thanks to the nearby lilac collector Kolesnikov. Sand lanes - 1,2.3,4,5, among which the 706th school appeared, were completely built up with one-story private houses, black rooks among which looked like long two-story departmental wooden barracks. All who lived here were essentially residents of the Moscow outskirts, located near the railway ring, which for a long time meant the border of old Moscow.

It is the children of Sand Lane. First of all, they were the contingent of students of this school. However, students came here from the Oktyabrsky Field, both from the houses behind Leningradsky Prospekt, which were then the Falcon (now for some reason belong to the Airport administration), and from the fork of the Volokolamsk and Leningradskoye Highways. In the years 1964-1965 KB Strela began building up these lanes with five-story houses, nine-story buildings appeared. Residents and students with regret left their beloved area. Someone managed to get an apartment nearby, someone left these places forever ...

But “I will never forget the 706th native school, wherever I am!” - this is the line from the school anthem, which appeared when the school theater group appeared in the school, which was friends with May TV “.” It was funny, but and responsible time: cool teachers from institutes and universities came to school, completing the already strong team of teachers created by Serov A.I. (Poltorak D.I., Zolotovskaya E.N., Fedorchenko A.M. et al.) came mathematician S. M. Kushul, physicists N. B. Koffman, A. Gervash and others. Here N. N. Koffman and created in his spare time pop theater at school. The opening was attended by People's Artist of the USSR V.S. Lanovoi, who had once played in folk theater with N. B. Koffman in his youth. In 1960, the first school club of international friendship in Moscow was created under the guidance of historian D.I. Poltorak.

In 1961, specialized classes appeared at the school and the school switched to 11-year education. School number 706 was one of the first schools in Moscow to implement the connection "School - University". Today, the school maintains ties with the Moscow Aviation Institute , MADI and MGIEM .

In 1965, the school museum of the "Military Glory of the 11th Guards Gorodok Rifle Division" was opened. In 1986, the school organized the Azimut tourist club ^[1] .

In 2005, the school won first place in the city competition "The Best School Courtyard of Moscow" ^{[1] [3] [4]} . Since 2006, the school has been participating in the city experimental program “Improving the forms of organization of the educational process in teaching according to individual plans”, that is, students can choose one of three curricula for teaching any subject: basic, specialized and advanced ^[3] .

In December 2006, Mayor Yuri Luzhkov gave a lesson on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the victory near Moscow at school ^[5] .

In 2007, school No. 706 was among the winners of a citywide competition of educational institutions introducing innovative general education programs ^[6] . In the same year, the school was among the winners of the national project "Education" ^[7] .

Since April 2011, school No. 706 has been participating in a pilot project of the Moscow Government on the development of general education ^[8] .

In September 2013, school No. 706 took 393 place in the ranking of the best schools in Moscow, compiled by the Department of Education based on the results of educational activities ^[9] .

In 2014, as a result of the merger of schools, it became part of school No. 1251 as building No. 1 ^[10] .

The Museum of “Military Glory of the 11th Guards Gorodok Rifle Division ( 18th Militia Division of the Leningrad Region of Moscow)” was opened in 1965 on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Victory. It presents more than 1000 exhibits telling about the combat route of the 11th Guards Rifle Division ^[11] . In 2009, at the city competition "Cup of Heroes" the museum of the 706th school took third place ^[1] .
