The Early Years and College
Fry was born in the suburbs of New York's Light Wales, but still in his infancy he moved with his family to New Hampshire , and when Channing was seven, he was replaced by Phoenix [1] . After that, the future basketball player studied at two Arizona schools, where he showed good results in the basketball team, and later entered the University of Arizona . In it, Channing played for the Arizona Wildcats university team, in which Andre Igudala and Luke Walton were his partners. During this time, Wildcats showed excellent results, and Fry in his fourth year in his last season at the NCAA with 22 points, 15 rebounds and 6 block shots on average per game received the title “Player of the Year” according to The Arizona Republic [1 ] .
NBA Career
New York Knicks
In the 2005 NBA draft, Channing chose the New York Knicks club under number eight. In his first season, Fry began to live up to the expectations of local fans, showing consistently high results in regular season games. This resulted in a basketball challenge for the Rookie Match against second year students, as well as the inclusion of the NBA Rookie Team at the end of the season.
In the 2006/07 season, he spent most of the games from the start, but according to its results, New York did not even make it to the playoffs and the leadership, after several unsuccessful exchanges, decided to change the face of the club.
Portland Trail Blazers
As a result of the Nyx NBA draft team restructuring, the 2007 NBA exchanged Channing Fry and Steve Francis for the Portland Trail Blazers , in return for Zach Randolph , Fred Jones, and Dan Dickau [2] [3] . In Portland, Fry’s average performance fell, and the player himself spent less and less time on the court. At the beginning of his second season at the Portland Trail Blazers, the basketball player underwent surgery to remove osteophytes on his left ankle [4] , which also affected Fry's game.
Phoenix Suns
On July 14, 2009, Channing Fry signed a contract with the Phoenix Suns [5] .
Orlando Magic
July 10, 2014 Fry signed a four-year contract with the club " Orlando Magic " in the amount of 32 million dollars [6] .
Cleveland Cavaliers
On February 18, 2016, as a result of a tripartite transaction, Fry was exchanged for Cleveland Cavaliers [7] .
