Aisha (from the Tatar name Aisha, “living”) is a village in the Zelenodolsky district of the Republic of Tatarstan , near the Sumka River . It was founded in 1780, previously it was part of the Ilyinsky volost. Initially, 132 men and 176 women lived in 56 yards of the village. An elementary school opened in the village in 1910. The population lived in cattle breeding , beekeeping , and growing bread; at the beginning of the 19th century, a brick factory was built using local clay, and burning of coal was added as a living. During the Civil War, the front line passed through the settlement. At the moment, the village has a kindergarten, a secondary school, a culture center, shops, an outpatient clinic, and a state farm [1] .
