Construction
Laid down on October 27, 1905 at the Baltic Plant in St. Petersburg . The chief builder is a ship engineer V. Kh. Offenberg . Launched on August 25, 1907 . This is the first ship in the world equipped with hyperboloid multi-section steel mesh masts , designed by the famous engineer V. G. Shukhov .
On July 29, 1910, "Emperor Pavel I," by order of the commander of the Baltic Fleet, was credited to the armed reserve of the fleet , and a month later he raised a pennant and joined the campaign.
In September of the same year, the ship was docked in Kronstadt , and then acceptance tests began. On October 20, 1910, the final stage of testing began: the ship passed an eight-hour test at full speed.
Service
On July 16, 1911, “Emperor Paul I” was enlisted in the Baltic Sea battleship formed at the beginning of the year. It also included the battleships "Tsesarevich" , "Glory" and "Andrew the First-Called . "
In 1913, as part of a battleship brigade, he made a trip to Portland and Brest .
July 18, 1914 covered the detachment of barriers during the laying of mines at the Central mine-artillery position.
Since September 22, 1920 was in storage at the Kronstadt military port.
On November 22, 1923, the Combined Funds were commissioned for dismantling and cutting for metal, and on November 21, 1925 it was excluded from the lists of the RKKF vessels.
2 towers with 203-mm guns were used in coastal defense, as part of the battery number 333 at Cape Surniemi, to the west of the fort " Krasnaya Gorka " ("Krasnoflotsky"). The battery took part in the Great Patriotic War.
