Kulebakin, Victor Sergeevich

Victor Sergeevich Kulebakin ( 1891 - 1970 ) - Soviet scientist in the field of control theory , specialist in aircraft construction, electrical engineer . Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR. Major General of the Aviation Engineering Service. Laureate of the Stalin Prize of the second degree.

Content

Biography

Born October 18 ( 30 ), 1891 in Moscow. He received his primary education at the Bogorodsky School and the Nabilkovsky Commercial School [1] . In 1914 he graduated from the Imperial Moscow Technical School [2] , in 1916 - the Gatchina School of Pilots [3] . In 1917 - 1940 he taught at IMTU. In 1923 - 1960 - at the VVIA named after N. E. Zhukovsky [2] . In 1930, V. S. Kulebakin headed the department "Electrical Appliances" of the Moscow Power Engineering Institute, was deputy. Director of the MPEI for academic affairs, in 1944 he organized and headed the military department at MPEI.

Corresponding Member of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (February 1, 1933) with a degree in energy. Academician of the USSR Academy of Sciences (January 29, 1939) with a degree in energy and automation [3] . From 1939 to 1941, he headed the Institute, Institute of Automation and Telemechanics, USSR Academy of Sciences .

In 1942, Kulebakin was awarded the rank of Major General of the Engineering and Aviation Service for strengthening the defense capability of the USSR [4] .

He died on February 11, 1970 . He was buried in Moscow at the Novodevichy cemetery (plot number 7).

Scientific achievements. Rewards

He is one of the creators of the GOELRO plan [2] .

His works were marked by a number of awards [3] :

  • two orders of Lenin (1942; 1958);
  • Order of the Red Banner (1945);
  • Order of the Red Banner of Labor (06/10/1945);
  • three orders of the Red Star (05.26.1936; 1944; 1945);
  • Order of the Badge of Honor (13.3.1940);
  • medals

He was also awarded:

  • Stalin Prize of the second degree (1950) - for the creation and implementation of a new mine condenser electric locomotive
  • Prize named after P.N. Yablochkov of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR (1962) [2] ;
  • Gold watch (10.28.1938)

V. S. Kulebakin - Honored Worker of Science and Technology of the RSFSR (1961) [3] .

Memory

  • At the building of the Institute for Management Problems. A memorial plaque was installed in memory of Kulebakin of V. A. Trapeznikov of the Russian Academy of Sciences [5] .
  • On one of the buildings of VVIA them. Zhukovsky also installed a memorial plaque.
