Biography

Talaat Khanlarov was born on August 26, 1927 in the family of a graduate of the Faculty of Law of St. Petersburg University Agasibek Khanlarov and Sarah Hanim, one of the first graduates of the Azerbaijan Medical Institute. Talaat was the eldest son in the family [1] .

In 1937, the father of Khanlarov Agasibek became a victim of Stalinist repression . Becoming the son of an “enemy of the people," Talaat came to the professional workshop as a mature young man. He went through an evening study at the municipal construction college, worked as a design engineer in the Bakproekt trust [1] .

At 29, Talaat Khanlarov graduated from the Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering of the Azerbaijan Polytechnic Institute. In the same year, the architect Mikael Useynov contributed to the acceptance of Khanlarov into the workshop of typical design at the Azgosproekt State Head Design Institute [1] .

Among the copyright works of Khanlarov, the works of the last 20 years should be especially noted: the building of the Sports and Concert Complex named after Heydar Aliyev (together with T. Abdullaev and Y. Kadymov), the Chemist Palace of Culture in Sumgait , the Memar Adzhemi station of the Baku Metro , the Tabriz Hotel in Nakhichevan , the buildings of the Transcaucasian Higher Party School, mosques in the Sabunchu and Narimanov districts and a number of others [1] .
