Career

Between 1977 and 1990, Robert Eringer lived in London, where he worked for British tabloids such as The Sunday Mirror and News of the World . News of the World, a newspaper specializing in the publication of scandalous and intimate details, ceased to appear on July 10, 2011 after an illegal listening scandal.

Intelligence Missions

Robert Eringer claims to have performed missions for the CIA and the FBI from 1990 to 2002. In fact, Ken Feld, the owner of the Ringling Brothers circus, and Clair George, convicted under the Iran-Contra trial, paid him a fee. Their goal was to ruin the career and personal lives of journalist Jan (or Janice) Pottker, who was about to publish a book on animal abuse and child labor, which were supposed to be practices at the Ringling Brothers circus [2] .

To prevent the publication of this work, Ken Feld spent nearly $ 2.3 million on espionage and surveillance of Jen Pottker. For 8 years she was influenced by Robert Eringer, who gradually managed to enter her trust as a partner, friend and trustee [3] .

When she discovered the truth in 1999, Jen Pottker filed a $ 120 million lawsuit against the Feld family, Claire George and Robert Eringer for invading privacy, abuse of trust, emotional abuse, fraud and breach of contract, the St. Petersburg Times reported in an article dated January 18, 2004.

Jen Pottker stated that the betrayal of Robert Eringer caused her severe psychological trauma. According to an article published in the Washington Post on November 20, 2005, Robert Eringer did not show the slightest regret over the situation of Jen Pottker, even calling her an idiot on the site of his former bar, Bedlam Bar & Restaurant. He said: "One lady complained that she was misled that she had been fooled for eight years, and that I personally sucked out all of his innermost secrets from her brain. Go figure it out. (No one has yet reported that this lady suffered from mental problems for many, many years.) The whole truth about how this lady drove herself around her finger will one day become known. Meanwhile, I will quote George Bernard Shaw: "Never fight a pig. You just get dirty, but fun there will only be a pig. ”

Bedlam Bar & Restaurant

In the 2000s, Robert Eringer and his brother Michael were owners and managers of the Bedlam Bar & Restaurant, located in London. This institution, whose motto was “Don’t suffer mental illness, enjoy it”, had the strange peculiarity of honoring crazy people. So, Bedlam Bar & Restaurant offered a free dessert to clients who could confirm that they had a mental illness or the fact of being in a psychiatric hospital, the Washington Post reported in an article dated November 20, 2005. [4]

The staff also offered group or individual therapy sessions to accompany alcoholic drinks called “lobotomy”, “5th chromosome” - a hint of a mental illness called “cat scream”, or “insulin shock” - a hint of the use of insulin therapy in psychiatry, or the so-called Zakel method.

Robert Eringer also boasted that he was able to exhibit in his bar a piece of the ear of the painter Vincent Van Gogh, allegedly discovered after nine months of searching in Saint-Remy, France.

However, he exhibited very controversial works, including drawings by Charles Bronson , which he requested specifically for the opening of the bar [5] . Often mentioned in the press as the most violent prisoner in the UK, Charles Bronson is a British criminal convicted of more than ten hostages and is currently imprisoned in Wakefield maximum security prison after 24 years in solitary confinement.

Monaco

In 2002, Robert Eringer was hired by Prince Alberta II of Monaco.

Soon, Robert Eringer proclaimed himself the head of the Monaco intelligence service and ordered a secret agent identification number 001, referring to the famous secret agent James Bond, created by Ian Fleming.

Having become uncontrollable, Eringer was fired in 2007 by Prince Albert II, who could no longer tolerate his antics [6] .

After his dismissal, Robert Eringer succumbed to his megalomania and ultimately filed a complaint with a California court [7] , with the goal of forcing the Principality of Monaco to pay him compensation. Of course, he was denied the lawsuit on August 23, 2011 [8] .

Criminal convictions for libel and public insult

Robert Eringer became famous thanks to his fierce struggle against the Principality of Monaco, as a result of which he was convicted about thirty times for attempted privacy and the reputation of Prince Albert II of Monaco [9] and members of his entourage [10] , [11] , [12 ] by the courts of France.

In September 2012, French justice found him guilty of defamation and public insult [13] , [14] , [15] , [16] .

Despite these numerous sentences imposed in civil and criminal trials, Eringer continues to publish false and insulting allegations against Prince Albert II of Monaco on his blog and on the Internet [17] , [18] , [19] .

Fake Spy

According to some journalists, Robert Eringer is a fake spy suffering from mythomania and narcissistic personality disorder. In a 2009 article in the Tribune de Genève, Stefan Berne , a journalist and television presenter specializing in royals, writes about “unfounded allegations of a fake spy, but a real con man Robert Eringer, whose blog is enough to read to appreciate the destructive consequences of his mythomania ". [twenty]

American journalist Sarah L. Knight dedicated to Robert Eringer a chapter in her book on the most famous fraud spies: The real lives of fake spies: collateral damage behind the world's most fraudulent sleuths). [21]

Robert Eringer is one of the top ten intelligence fraudsters [22] along with Imad Lahoud or Adolf Tolkachev .

Conspiracy Theory

In 1980, Robert Eringer published the book The Global Manipulators, an investigation into the Bilderberg Group (Pentacle Books, UK). Robert Eringer claims to be the victim of a conspiracy of Freemasons, Illuminati and the Bilderberg Group .

Pathology

Psychiatrist Marie-Jeanne Dubois became interested in the case of Robert Eringer after the French and international press mentioned the likelihood that he has a pathological tendency to persecution and mythomania. According to her expert assessment, Robert Eringer clearly has all the established signs of narcissistic personality disorder [23] .
