Biography

The representative of the genus Obolensky-White . The son of the Novgorod governor Andrei Nikiforovich Obolensky-Bely .

Until the 30s. XVIII century was in military service. Then he moved to the state. In February 1736, with the rank of State Counselor , he was appointed Krigcommissar .

From 1737 to 1740 he was in the vice-governorship in the Arkhangelsk province .

Valid State Councilor since October 1740. From November 1740 to January 1741 he was governor of Smolensk . After a brief governorship in Smolensk and returning to Arkhangelsk, Prince Obolensky was ordered to appear in the Governing Senate .

The new Arkhangelsk governor appointed in his place brought upon herself the displeasure of Empress Elizabeth Petrovna , and therefore Obolensky, who had not had time to leave Arkhangelsk , was left at his post. Fired from the post of Arkhangelsk governor in 1743.

Prince Alexei Andreyevich Obolensky-Bely died on January 20 (31), 1760.

Family

He was married to Anna Vasilyevna Priklonskaya (2.02.1699–30.03.1759), daughter of brigadier Vasily Ivanovich Priklonsky (died 1726) and Uliana Yuryevna Yesipova (died 1740), from a marriage with whom she had 3 daughters and one son:

  • Hope (1722–?), The maiden (in 1755).
  • Catherine (10.23.1726-3.12.1791), died as a girl.
  • Mary (1731–?), Died as a girl.
  • Nikolay (10/19/1731–22.12.1797), guard lieutenant . Advisor to the Ryazan State Chamber.

The granddaughter of Alexei Andreyevich, Anna Nikolaevich Obolenskaya (1782–1841), was the mother of the poet D. V. Venevitinov .
