Content
Early career
Born in the family of Ober-Hofmeister Alexander Alekseevich Bobrinsky , brother of Alexei Alexandrovich Bobrinsky . Since November 1904 he was appointed general for special assignments under the commander in chief of all land and naval forces. Since April 1905, he was assigned to the commander of the First Manchurian Army. At the end of the Russo-Japanese War, he was enlisted in the Ministry of War , and in May 1910 he was transferred to the disposal of the Minister of War.
During World War I
After the outbreak of World War I , on August 23, 1914, he was sent to Kiev at the disposal of the head of the army supply of the Southwestern Front as “the head of the civilian unit abroad,” was a co-author of the “Temporary Regulation on the Management of War -Austrian Regions of Austria-Hungary ” . On August 25, 1914, a governor general was created on the part of eastern Galicia occupied by Russian troops, led by Bobrinsky. Until November 19, 1914, Bobrinsky was interim governor-general, and was later confirmed in this position by imperial decree. In his keynote speech, Bobrinsky said: "I will establish here the Russian language, law and order." In the Galician governor-general, he pursued a policy aimed at the early incorporation of Eastern Galicia into the Russian Empire. In June 1915, in connection with the offensive of the central powers, the Office of the Governor General was evacuated to Kiev. Bobrinsky led the commission on the preparation of a new regulation on the management of the occupied territories. On March 17, 1916, the Galician governor-general was abolished, Bobrinsky was placed at the disposal of the commander-in-chief of the armies of the Southwestern Front.
In 1919, Bobrinsky emigrated to France .
Since 1922 - Vice-Chairman of the Union of Zealots in Memory of Emperor Nicholas II .
Died in Paris .

On January 7, 1885, he married Princess Olga Ivanovna Trubetskoy (February 17 (05), 1863 - June 14, 1940 ). Two children were born in the marriage:
- Vladimir ( 1887 - 1954 ).
- Olga ( 1888 - 1972 ).
